CALL FOR WORKSHOP SUBMISSIONS
CALL FOR ARTISTS AND WRITERS:
Creativity is a talent we are all born with but it needs practice to stay vibrant and keep growing. FireSlide Productions has two creative workshops to help artists and writers expand their creative potential.
This is a Workshop for Artists and Writers who:
- Are craving exposure and are willing to publicly share their work.
- Want to focus on the entire creative process, from start to finish.
- Who are eager to work with a collective group of artists and writers.
- Who desire to work with other artists and writers to create a collaborative multimedia show.
- Are looking to get their creative hands dirty and have a willingness to make mistakes.

ARTIST SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
We accept submissions for ALL KINDS OF ARTISTS! Choreographers, Dancers, Painters, Graphic Artists, Filmmakers, Photographers, Actors, Sculptors, etc.
If you would like to submit to be a part of FireSlide's Artist's Workshop, here are our Submission Requirements:
Please share with us the following:
- What is your area(s) of knowledge or expertise as an artist?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- What do you want to get from this workshop?
- What do you believe is the most important part of your creative process?
- If you had the opportunity to collaborate with other artists, what would you create and why?
- Please send us samples of current or past work. (Photos, Videos, Websites, etc. All acceptable.)

Subject Line: Artist's Workshop 10/11
The workshops run every other Sunday and will begin on Sunday October 3rd, 2010. They will be held in the afternoon/evening. The workshop will end prior to our show which will be held late May/Early June.
This 8 month journey, and participation in the yearly showcase goes at the cost of only $550 including tax. (Please enquire about our Instalment Plan)

CALL FOR ACTORS
Calling all actors!! FireSlide is getting ready for it’s annual showcase!!!
Want to work with great writers, director and producers that are actually creating amazing work right here in Toronto? Then this is an opportunity for you!!!
What we do is workshop with a group of writers and visual artists throughout the year then put on a showcase of their work. You’ll be working with playwrights, a series writer, novelists, or somewhere in between.
We are looking for non-union actors to be part of our annual showcase. All ages and ethnic backgrounds!!! Yes to being Canadian!
CASTING FOR:
A pilot we are shooting
A radio play
2 stage performances
Rehearsals will take place during the month of May, with great directors that have been hand selected. The show is up June 4th and 5th.
DEADLINE for submissions is April 16th.
AUDITIONS will be held April 18.

CALL TO DANCERS!!!!
Looking for one male dancer and one female dancer between the ages 20 and 40 for Kerry Lo Bianco’s Fireslide Productions Showcase dance piece.
Dancers please have a background in contemporary/modern, contact dance, jazz or ballet. Strong partnering skills an asset. Acrobatics or tumbling an asset but not required.
Rehearsals will take place during the month of May up until the show on June 4th and 5th at The Theatre Centre.
DEADLINE for submissions is April 16th.
AUDITIONS AND CALLBACKS will be held April 18TH.ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED FOR AUDITON TIMES. PLEASE HAVE A 30-45 SECOND SOLO PREPARED (OR IMPROVISED) SHOWCASING YOUR UNIQUE AND AMAZING TALENT!
If using music please bring on iPod or cd.

CALL FOR DIRECTORS
FireSlide Productions Inc. is looking for Directors!! If you are a director or an experienced actor and want to put on a directors hat, submit a headshot and resume to submissions@fireslideproductions.com.
FireSlide Productions workshops with writers and visual artists throughout the year. To celebrate the growth and development of these individuals we put on a showcase of their work. This year’s show will be at The Theatre Centre June 4th and 5th, 2010.
You will have one month of rehearsal time (May). We will be holding actor auditions April 18, 2010.
We are looking for theatre/stage directors and film/tv directors.
Each piece will be presented as 15 minute artistic presentations of the writers/visual artists work.
This is a great way to meet other Toronto artists that are actually creating new works.
